RESIDENTS MAY DISPOSE OF FURNITURE, BULK METAL ITEMS & HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECT MATERIALS AT THE TRANSFER STATION, UNION MILLS ROAD - YOU MUST HAVE A PERMIT STICKER, WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED AT TOWN HALL!


DURING THIS PROGRAM ONLY - FREON UNITS & UP TO 12 TIRES MAY BE DROPPED OFF AT THE HIGHWAY GARAGE - YOU MUST OBTAIN COUPONS FOR THOSE ITEMS FROM TOWN HALL!! TIRES WITH OR WITHOUT RIM. REMOVE REFRIGERATOR DOORS AND FOOD ITEMS.

FREON UNITS - $10 EACH
TIRES - $2.50 EACH

NO COMMERCIAL GARBAGE!

To obtain a transfer station sticker and coupons, Town Hall hours are:

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 9 A.M. - 1 P.M.
WEDNESDAY EVENING 6 P.M. - 8 P.M.

CLEAN UP PROGRAM GUIDELINES

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS

Propane Tanks        Hazardous Wastes        Liquid Wastes

  • Residents only - Participants MUST obtain a transfer station permit sticker for this program.
     
  • Tires with or without rim - residents must obtain coupon(s) from Town Hall at $2.50 per tire. Tires must be dropped off at Town Garage, limit of 12.
     
  • Freon units - refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers - must obtain coupon(s) from Town Hall at $10 per unit. Must be dropped off at Town Garage. Residents should remove doors from refrigerators & freezers & clean out any food products.
     
  • Bulky metals (stoves, hot water heaters, washers, driers, etc.) can go in Transfer Station metal bin.
     
  • No propane tanks, paint, other liquid wastes or hazardous wastes.
     
  • $40 per ton charge to the municipality (no charge to residents).
     
  • Held at the Transfer Station, Union Mills Road, and Town Garage, Union Mills Road.
     
  • Municipality must provide supervision and bucket loader if necessary.
     
  • Acceptable items at transfer station: furniture, junk, attic and basement cleanup projects, home improvement materials such as lumber, shingles, siding.
     
  • All Transfer Station rules and regulations remain in effect.
